Today I finished all my alternate solutions which I have been working on for the past week and posted them on my Web log. I am currently up to date and must now work on my informal progress update outline

Today I began my selection rejection report because the informal progress updates were postponed. I have decided that the best way to power my rov arm will be through hydrualics rather than electronics. This is because the propulsion system of my teams rov will require the majority of the power and I do not wish to use excess power that I do not need to.

Friday October 5th I presented my project to the class and was able to recieve feedback. I learned that I must further research the hydrualic system I intend to use for my final solution. Today is the first day back to classroom work and I am working on finalizing my selection rejection report.

Today I finished my Selection Rejection report and posted it on this web log. I have also designed my model and decided I make it out of wood, and if possible I will make it functional. I also recently had a meeting with my mentor on Wednesday the 9th of October and discussed what materials to use for my final solution.

Today I continued work on my orthographic view of my final solution. I also did research on the hydraulic cylinders I will need. I found sizes in 1 oz and 2 oz that fit my need. Both of these were donated to me by Sunray Drugs & Medical of Middletown.

As of today October 17th I have fallen behind schedule. I had planned on finishing my model today but was told by the instructors not to start my model but to work on my orthographic views instead. I have nearly completed these orthographic views, but must now begin my model as it is due soon.

As of today I have started my model. I have already cut all the pieces I need, at 1/2 scale. I have also drilled the wholes and assembled the model, although it is currently not assembled as it is being painted. I hope to have a working model and am currently aquiring the parts I will need to do so. This has become dificult as many of the parts needed to make the model function are not precisely half scale.
